What we do
Cows are considered sacred in India and are believed to be the abode of Gods and Goddesses. They provide essential milk and are given special emphasis in terms of service, rearing, and protection. At Ishta, we feed our cattle a mixture of wheat, mustard cake, green grass, husk, and jaggery, and provide ample water and land for them to move around freely. Our expert doctors administer quality medication to address their health needs, particularly for the elderly and destitute cows we rescue.
About us
Sree Venkatakrishnan Gosamrakshana Sala, founded in 2017, aims to raise awareness about non-milking indigenous breeds. The Goushala is located in Pallikaranai and Mathuranthagam, housing 120+ cattle of 20 different breeds, mostly non-milking cows and bulls.
We are a registered trust and all donations are eligible for 80G deductions.
